The land was bought by three sisters Anjali, Rekha and Priya Khot, who acquired the farm from their parents.

Thal village, in which the house is situated, is just 12 minutes away from the city of Alibaug. Shah Rukh Khan also owns an ocean-facing property located in Thal that has a area and helicopter pad.
