They were convinced by the fact that the model appeared to be wearing Gentle Monster‘s Tambu glasses, that Jennie posted on her Instagram.
Some ARMYs and Blinks (a.k.a BTS and Blackpink followers, respectively have resisted such notions and pointed out that Jennie’s hair has now been dyed orange, not like the girl in the picture, and that her sunglasses come from an established brand, which may also be owned by other people.
The online debates continue to continue to rage, YG Entertainment responded promptly to the media outlet Chosun in a statement that reads “We don’t have any comments to make. We’ll notify you in the event that we come up with a different answer to provide.”
As of now, BTS’ agency Hybe has not yet made a make a statement.
